Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through Q poke and mana efficiency, as Sylas struggles with early mana costs and has limited sustain.
- Post-6 you maintain advantage since your R provides better engage/disengage than his stolen R, and your armor scaling reduces his damage output significantly.
How to Trade
- Use Q to poke when Sylas goes for CS, then back off before he can E-W combo you.
- Only commit to extended trades when your W shield is up and he's used his E, as his sustain from W becomes problematic in longer engagements.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish priority, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower.
- This forces Sylas to overextend for CS where you can punish with Q poke, while denying him opportunities to roam and find picks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste Q when Sylas has E available, as he can easily gap close and turn the trade heavily in his favor.
- Avoid trading when low on mana early game, since Sylas can all-in you without your Q slow and W shield available.
