Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 due to your superior range and poke potential with E and auto attacks.
- At level 6, Zed gains kill pressure with his ultimate, making the matchup heavily favor him if he lands his combo.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use E for poke when Zed goes for CS, then immediately back away to avoid his W-E-Q combo.
- Never trade auto attacks or extended fights as his energy-based kit allows for more sustained damage than your mana-dependent abilities.
Wave Control
- You should maintain a slow push or neutral wave state to avoid being in extended lanes where Zed can run you down.
- Keep the wave closer to your tower after level 6 to have escape routes and jungle assistance available.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your Q binding aggressively unless Zed has already used his W shadow, as good Zeds will immediately W-R combo you.
- Avoid face-checking bushes or roaming alone after level 6 without vision, as Zed excels at picks and assassinations.
