Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win trades with superior range and E poke, but Veigar scales his Q damage quickly through farming.
- Post-6 becomes skill-dependent as his R can execute you if you're caught in his E, but you can still win if you land Q first.
How to Trade
- Poke with E from max range while staying behind minions to avoid his Q, then look for Q-E-auto combos when he steps up to farm.
- Avoid extended trades since his Q cooldown decreases and he gains AP from farming.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to deny his Q stacks on minions, then maintain slow pushes to keep pressure while avoiding his E range.
- After 6, keep waves in neutral positions to have escape routes from his cage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't stand in minion waves where his Q can hit both you and minions for free stacks.
- Never walk into his E range without your Q available, as getting caged usually means death post-6.
