Who Wins
- You win pre-6 convincingly through superior range and poke damage with E and Q combo.
- Post-6 you lose the 1v1 as Kassadin's R mobility lets him close gaps instantly and his magic shield from Q negates much of your burst.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is E-auto-Q when he steps up for CS, then immediately back off to avoid retaliation.
- Never commit to extended trades as his Q silence and W empowered auto will out-damage you in melee range.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to deny his CS and roam opportunities, but transition to freezing near your tower once he hits 6.
- Keep the wave in a position where you can safely farm while he can't easily R onto you without tower aggro.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use your Q aggressively for poke once he has R, as you need it defensively to root him when he jumps on you.
- Wasting your only escape tool for minor poke damage will result in easy kills for him.
