Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke potential, forcing favorable trades with E-auto combos.
- Post-6 your burst combo can delete Ashe, but Maokai's R makes positioning more difficult.
Synergy & Trading
- Use E to poke and zone, then Q when enemies are slowed or engaged upon by Aphelios.
- Save W for disengage when Maokai engages rather than using it proactively for trades.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam when you have mana and wave is pushed, especially to secure vision or help jungle skirmishes.
- Best windows are after forcing enemies to recall or when they're low on resources.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use Q aggressively when Maokai has flash W available since you'll be vulnerable to all-ins.
- Avoid standing too close to Aphelios since Ashe R can catch both of you if positioned poorly.
