Who Wins

  • You lose both pre-6 and post-6 in direct 1v1 scenarios due to Illaoi's superior damage and sustain.
  • Your only window is very early levels 1-2 with Q poke before she gets her full combo, but even this advantage disappears quickly.

How to Trade

  • Focus on short Q poke trades while staying outside her E range, then immediately back off using W if she tries to engage.
  • Never commit to extended trades as her sustain and damage output will overwhelm you even through polymorph.

Wave Control

  • Maintain distance and farm with Q while keeping the wave in a neutral or slightly pushed position to avoid being dove.
  • Avoid both hard pushing (gives her R setups) and freezing (allows her to zone you completely from farm).

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Never fight her when she has a large minion wave or after level 6 in any scenario with multiple targets for her R.
  • Don't waste your W defensively too early in trades as you need it to escape her all-in attempts after she lands E.
