LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most short trades at levels 1–3 because your passive double-shot and E-cancel patterns deal more burst than Yasuo can sustain through without his W blocking your Q poke; however, once Yasuo hits level 3 and has Q-Q-E available, his tornado into extended trade becomes genuinely dangerous if you are caught without E.
- Post-6, the matchup shifts against you because Yasuo's R gives him a reliable all-in setup that your R cannot match in a straight duel, and his W will block one of your R shots, reducing your burst window significantly.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is E into auto-Q-auto (passive proc), then immediately E away before Yasuo can retaliate with a full Q-E-Q combo; you want to force him to spend his E defensively or waste his Q stacks chasing you.
- Never commit to a long trade because Yasuo's sustained DPS with Q resets and his passive shield regenerating between exchanges will outpace your damage over time.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with Q to deny Yasuo the minion knockup setups he needs to land his tornado safely from range; a slow-pushed or frozen wave under your tower removes his primary safe poke tool.
- Avoid letting the wave sit in the middle of the lane, as that gives him the space and minion density to fish for Q tornadoes without risk.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use E aggressively into Yasuo when his W is available and you have not baited it first, because you will waste your only mobility tool and be stuck in melee range against a champion who outduels you in extended fights.
- Burning E offensively without confirming W is down is the single most common way Lucian loses this lane outright.
