LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight by kiting with Q and E to maintain distance, as Viego has no reliable gap-closer at this stage and your Q's outer edge damage lets you poke safely.
- From level 6, you can secure kills on low-health targets by landing your R to put them to sleep and following with Q and W stacks, but a healthy Viego with W shield active will out-sustain you in a prolonged fight, so you must burst him down before his passive procs.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Viego will most likely start red side (Red Buff → Krugs → Raptors or Red → Raptors → Krugs) to reach level 3 efficiently, then look for early scuttle or a gank on a pushed lane.
- He may also opt for a full clear to hit level 6 quickly, as his R on a kill target dramatically changes his threat level.
Invade or Not
- You should generally avoid invading Viego pre-level 6 because if he catches you in a narrow jungle corridor, his W shield and passive healing on a nearby camp make him deceptively tanky in a short-range brawl where your kiting space is limited.
- If you do invade, do it at his second buff (around 3:15–3:30) when he is low from clearing and you can land E to slow him before he can reposition or proc his passive.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Viego get a kill on any target near you, because his R possession resets his cooldowns and effectively gives him a second champion to fight with, turning a 1v1 into a nightmare scenario.
- Avoid fighting him in tight jungle paths where your Q's outer-ring damage is hard to land and you cannot maintain the distance needed to kite effectively.
