LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Olaf if he lands his Q — he will run you down with W and you have no answer to his sustained damage before you have form.
- At level 6, if you have Rhaast, you can attempt to fight him by using E through terrain to dodge his Q, then trading with your W and R healing, but Shadow Assassin struggles significantly because Olaf's R removes your CC and he out-sustains your burst.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Olaf typically starts Red Buff and clears toward Raptors or Krugs, then looks for an early scuttle fight or a level 3 gank on a pushed lane — he paths aggressively and will look to fight you early if your paths cross.
- Expect him to contest your second buff or scuttle crab if he identifies your starting side, as he is one of the strongest early duelists in the game.
Invade or Not
- You should avoid direct invades on Olaf before you have your transformation completed, as he will simply run you down — instead, counter-jungle his camps when he is spotted on the opposite side of the map.
- If you must invade, do so only with Rhaast form completed and use E through walls to approach and escape, never fighting him in open terrain where he can freely auto-attack.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Olaf when his R is active — his immunity to your CC completely shuts down your engage pattern with E into W, and you will lose the trade almost every time without your CC landing.
- Avoid stacking your transformation passive by only hitting Olaf, as you need melee champion hits from multiple sources; prioritize ganking melee laners to accelerate Rhaast if you want a fighting chance against him.
