Who Wins
- You lose early levels 1-3 due to Irelia's superior sustained damage with Q resets and passive stacks, plus her ability to stick to you through minions.
- At level 6, you gain kill pressure if you can land a clean combo, but Irelia's W damage reduction and mobility still make trades risky.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to Q the back minions, wait for Irelia to engage or misposition, then E to a dagger behind her for the spin damage and immediately W-E out.
- Never try to extended trade as her sustained damage and healing from Q will always win.
Wave Control
- You want to push waves quickly with Q bounces and roam to impact other lanes, as sitting in lane against Irelia's superior laning is suboptimal.
- Focus on clearing waves efficiently and looking for picks on the map rather than trying to win the 1v1.
Mistakes to Avoid
