Who Wins
- Ekko wins levels 1-3 due to Q poke range advantage and W shield/stun threat in extended trades.
- At level 6, you gain kill pressure with R resets, but Ekko's R makes him extremely difficult to execute unless you bait it first.
How to Trade
- Look for short trades using Q-E-W combo when Ekko uses Q on minions, then immediately back off before he can proc his passive.
- Avoid extended trades early since his passive and W give him superior sustained damage and utility.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with Q bounces to hit level 2 first, then look to roam once you have E mobility.
- Ekko will try to freeze and zone you with Q, so use Q to break freezes and maintain farm while looking for side lane opportunities.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never all-in Ekko when his R is available unless you can guarantee the kill through the health restoration.
- Getting chunked by his Q-E-passive combo while his R is up often results in him escaping with more health than he started with.
