Who Wins

  • Zed wins pre-6 through superior range, wave control, and trading power with Q poke and W-E-Q combos that you cannot effectively answer.
  • Post-6 you gain kill threat with R but Zed still holds advantage until you complete core items due to his superior burst damage and mobility.

How to Trade

  • Use Q to interrupt Zed's W-E-Q combo when possible, then immediately back off to avoid extended trades.
  • Your best trading windows are when Zed's W is on cooldown - walk up for Q-W trades but respect his all-in potential.

Wave Control

  • Accept being pushed in early and focus on last-hitting under tower while using Q to break freezes when necessary.
  • Once you have R and some items, you can start matching Zed's roams or look for picks in river/jungle.
