Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Alistar decisively — his W+Q combo will knock you away and interrupt your Q stacking, and you have no mobility or CC to contest him.
- From level 6, you can threaten a 1v1 only if Alistar has already used his W and Q on something else, as your sustained Q damage during R will kill him if he cannot escape or heal through it.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Alistar will most likely start Red Buff side (Raptors or Red), clear to Krugs or Gromp, then look to invade your jungle or contest scuttle at level 3 with his strong early CC.
- Expect him to path toward your vulnerable camps (Raptors or Krugs) if he reads your start, since you are extremely easy to punish while channeling camps.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Alistar at any point before level 6 — his W+Q will interrupt your Q and you have no escape, making any invade a near-certain death.
- After level 6, invading a solo Alistar on a camp is viable only if you can confirm he has no backup nearby and his W+Q are on cooldown, as your R passive and sustained Q damage will outdamage him in a prolonged fight.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Alistar near walls or narrow jungle corridors — his W+Q will knock you into terrain and extend the displacement, giving him or his laners time to follow up and kill you.
- Avoid standing still to stack Q on camps when Alistar is unaccounted for on the map, as you are completely immobile during that animation and trivially punished.
