Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Rakan win the 2v2 if Rakan can close the gap with his E-W combo before Xerath and Vel'Koz chunk you down, but the longer the fight stays at max range the worse it gets for you; post-6, the enemy poke and burst range makes all-ins increasingly risky unless Rakan lands a perfect engage.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to let Rakan initiate with E-W, immediately place Chompers on the landing zone to trap Xerath or Vel'Koz, then switch to Minigun and auto-attack the rooted target while Rakan shields you — do not try to poke at range with Fishbones against this matchup.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave fast with Fishbones to avoid prolonged poke trades in lane, then back off to a safe position; sitting in a slow wave against Xerath and Vel'Koz gives them free Q and W harassment with no meaningful counterplay.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk up to CS in Minigun range without Rakan being ready to peel — Xerath's E into Vel'Koz W is a long-range root-slow chain that will get you killed if you are caught out of position without Rakan's shield or dash available.
