- Pre-6 you win consistently through range, passive 4th-auto burst, and W root denying his engage; post-6 you lose the 1v1 if he lands R on you in a short lane, so you must respect his all-in potential and maintain distance or have an escape path ready at all times.
How to Trade
- Use W to pre-place traps in his likely approach path, then poke with autos and E to stack damage; when he commits to a Q engage, your 4th auto hits for massive damage and can chunk him hard enough to deter follow-up trades.
Wave Control
- Keep the wave slightly pushed toward his side so you have more room to kite backward when he engages; a frozen wave near your tower removes your kiting space and lets him close the gap with Q or R far more safely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still to land your 4th auto or channel R when he has his R available, as his R travels faster than your reaction window at close range and a successful lock-in means you die before finishing your cast.
