Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q-E combo, especially strong at level 3 when you have both forms available.
- Post-6 you maintain advantage but must respect Mega Gnar's all-in potential with R if you're caught in melee range.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is Q-E poke from max range in Cannon form, then switch to Hammer form for W-Q-E combo when Gnar is low or mispositioned.
- Always look to disengage with E knockback in Hammer form after your burst combo.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with Q-E to establish range advantage and force Gnar to farm under tower where he's vulnerable to poke.
- Maintain slow pushes to keep minion advantage while denying Gnar's ability to engage safely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't stay in Hammer form too long against Mini Gnar as you lose your range advantage and become vulnerable to his kiting with Q and W.
- Avoid fighting when Gnar's rage bar is high unless you can guarantee a quick kill before he transforms.
