Who Wins

  • You struggle pre-6 due to Yone's superior range and poke, losing most trades unless you can land E-W-Q when he overextends.
  • Post-6 you gain kill pressure through R-E-Q-W combos, but only if you can get on top of him before he uses E2 to escape back to his shadow.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is waiting for Yone to use E aggressively, then immediately activating E to negate his damage while guaranteeing your Q-W combo hits during his animation lock.
  • Look for short trades with E-W-auto-Q when he goes for cs, then disengage before he can respond with his full combo.

Wave Control

  • You want to keep waves closer to your side and look for opportunities to freeze, as Yone will naturally push with his Q spam and become vulnerable to ganks.
  • When ahead, you can slow push and dive him under tower with jungle assistance since he has no reliable escape without E.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste E defensively against his poke unless you're critically low, as you need it available to win trades when he commits with E forward.
  • Never chase Yone when he has E2 available unless you can guarantee the kill, as he will simply return to safety and you'll be overextended for his jungler.
