Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 due to Riven's superior burst damage and mobility advantage in short trades.
- Post-6 you become the 1v1 winner thanks to your R defensive stats and E's ability to completely negate Riven's combo while setting up your own damage window.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait out Riven's combo, then immediately Q onto her and activate E to dodge her damage while stunning her for a guaranteed counter-trade.
- Focus on short trades with W-auto resets rather than extended fights until you have items and levels.
Wave Control
- Accept CS deficits early and focus on farming safely under tower, using Q only for last-hitting when necessary.
- Once you hit 6, you can start looking for longer trades and all-ins, especially when Riven uses abilities on minions.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste your E reactively after Riven has already started her combo, as good Rivens will animation-cancel through it.
