Who Wins
- You lose most trades pre-6 due to Mordekaiser's superior base damage and sustain from W, but can start winning extended all-ins post-6 with R's defensive stats if you dodge his abilities.
- Level 2 E max gives you better trading windows, but Mordekaiser's Q poke and passive damage still favor him in short trades.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is E into auto-W-auto, then Q away to avoid his Q retaliation and passive proc.
- Never trade without E up as his Q-E combo will chunk you heavily and proc his passive for extended damage.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze the wave near your tower early to force him to overextend for CS, making him vulnerable to jungle ganks.
- Avoid pushing into him pre-6 as he can easily zone you with Q poke and has no escape tools to punish.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never fight him in his passive or when he has W shield available, as the sustained damage and shield absorption make trades heavily favor him.
- Don't waste E defensively against his E pull - save it for when he commits to an all-in so you can dodge his Q and reduce his damage output.
