Scuttle Contest
- You lose early scuttle contests due to lack of range and poke, but can win if you land E stun and force an all-in with Q gap close.
- Post-6, you win most 1v1s by using R for resistances, timing E to dodge his Q damage, then sticking to him with your Q resets on minions/monsters.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Kayn typically full clears one side then looks for early form stacks through ganks or invades around 3:15-3:45.
- He'll prioritize lanes where he can easily land W for ranged form or get extended trades for melee form, often pathing aggressively for early skirmishes.
Invade or Not
- Avoid early invades unless you catch him very low after camps, as his mobility and sustain make him difficult to punish.
- Your best invade timing is post-6 when you have R, targeting him when he's isolated and you can force an extended fight with E active.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase him through walls with your Q as he can easily escape with E or Q, leaving you overextended in his jungle.
- Avoid fighting him when he has form advantage, especially Rhaast with items, as his sustain and % health damage can overwhelm even your R resistances.
