Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win short trades at level 2 when you have E+Q knockup online, as the combo deals significant burst and Mundo has no reliable escape or immediate answer to the displacement.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a temporary arena advantage, but Mundo's passive and W sustain mean he will often out-sustain the fight unless you have ignite and a meaningful lead.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to E+Q into an auto-attack reset, then disengage before Mundo can stack W healing and his Q slow to keep you in range for extended damage.
  • Never commit to a full trade without ignite, because Mundo's passive health regen and W will erase your burst over a few seconds.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave early with your Q to force Mundo under tower, denying him free W poke and making him spend health to last-hit under pressure.
  • Once you have a lead, freeze near your side of the lane to force him to overextend for CS, where your E+Q engage becomes a kill threat.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E+Q combo reactively just to trade — if Mundo simply walks away and regens, you've burned your cooldowns and he wins the next exchange.
  • Avoid letting the lane go even into mid-game, because a scaling Mundo with items will become unkillable and your window to solo kill him closes fast.
