Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades if you can land E and stack passive, but Zed's Q poke and W escape make extended trades difficult.
- Post-6 becomes Zed favored as his R gives him guaranteed gap close and burst potential that bypasses your W damage reduction.
How to Trade
- Look for E-Q resets through minions to gap close, then auto-W-auto with passive stacks before Zed can W away.
- Avoid trading when your E is down as Zed can freely W-Q-E you without retaliation threat.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to build minion advantage for Q resets, but be ready to freeze when Zed hits 6.
- You want minions near your tower post-6 to limit his all-in angles and give you Q reset options if he Rs you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use W reactively against his R - he can wait it out and burst after.
- Save W for his follow-up combo after R, and never fight without minions nearby for Q resets as you'll lack mobility to match his shadows.
