Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades when you have stacks and minions to Q through, as Yone lacks early burst to match your sustained damage.
- Post-6 becomes Yone-favored as his R gives him reliable engage tools and his Q3 tornado becomes easier to land in extended fights.
How to Trade
- Look for trades when you have 4-5 stacks and can Q to a low minion near Yone, then E-W-auto-Q back to safety.
- Avoid extended trades without stacks as Yone's Q poke and W shield make short trades inefficient for you.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to build stacks off minions and deny Yone's Q3 setups, but be ready to thin the wave before level 6.
- After 6, maintain wave in the middle third to have escape routes from his R engage while still having minions for Q mobility.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase Yone when he has E active as he'll snap back and avoid your damage while landing free poke.
- Never fight him in open areas without minions post-6 since you lose mobility advantage and become vulnerable to his R-Q3 combo.
