Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this matchup cleanly at level 1–3 if you can stack passive on minions before engaging — Mundo has no reliable way to stop your E dashes and his Q is dodgeable; post-6 the matchup becomes more dangerous because his R sustain combined with his natural tankiness means you need to burst him down quickly or disengage, as prolonged fights heavily favor him.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to stack passive fully on nearby minions, then E onto Mundo, auto-attack to proc passive, W to slow and deal damage, and disengage before his R healing becomes a factor — short burst windows repeated frequently are far more effective than one long all-in.
Wave Control
- Freeze the wave near your tower when possible to deny him the ability to Q poke you safely from range and to force him into unfavorable positions where you can engage on your terms with minion resets available; a frozen wave also limits his ability to shove and roam.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt a full all-in after he activates R unless you are significantly ahead — his R healing combined with his base tankiness will outlast your damage output in a prolonged fight, and you will lose trades you should have won by simply disengaging too late.
