Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Azir's superior range and poke damage, but can win all-ins at level 2-3 if you land E and have minions to Q through.
- Post-6, you win the 1v1 decisively if you can engage on him, as your R makes gap-closing reliable and your sustained damage outscales his burst.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to stack passive on minions, then E-Q combo through a low minion to gap-close and auto-W-auto before backing off.
- Avoid extended trades without your passive stacked, as Azir will out-damage you with soldiers and kite you effectively.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your side to create long lanes for all-ins and limit his escape options.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you can recall, as Azir excels at farming under tower and will poke you freely when you're extended.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste your E trying to engage when Azir has his E up, as he can easily dash away and leave you overextended.
- Never fight him in the middle of his soldier zone without your passive stacked, as you'll lose the trade heavily and potentially get chunked out of lane.
