Who Wins
- You lose early trades levels 1-3 due to Aatrox's superior range and Q poke damage, but you can start winning short trades once you have Q resets on minions.
- At level 6, you win the all-in if you dodge his Q sweetspots with your Q dashes and land your E stun.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to stack passive on minions first, then Q through low-health minions to gap close while dodging his Q zones, land E stun, and auto-W-auto before Q'ing back to safety.
- Never trade without passive stacks or minions to Q reset on, as you'll get chunked by his superior range.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your side to have minions for Q resets and gap closing opportunities.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you can crash and recall, as being in the middle of the lane without minions makes you vulnerable to his Q poke.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't Q directly onto him without minions nearby for escape routes, as you'll be stuck in his Q range without mobility.
- Never fight him in open areas of the lane where he can freely land Q sweetspots - you need minions to dance around.
