LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most extended trades because your Q poke deals significant damage and your passive tentacle slams punish Skarner heavily if he tries to engage with W or stack his passive on you.
- At level 3, once you have Q, W, and E, you can pull his spirit out and force a tentacle-assisted fight that Skarner cannot sustain through, giving you a clear damage advantage in extended trades.
How to Trade
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more dangerous because Skarner's R suppresses you, which completely shuts down your R channel and prevents you from using E to pull his spirit during the suppression window.
- You can still win if you force a fight before he engages, but if he lands R first, you lose the trade decisively since you cannot retaliate during suppression.
Wave Control
- Your optimal trading pattern is to use E to pull his spirit, then immediately position between the spirit and your body to force tentacle slams while auto-attacking and using W for the healing.
- The key is to never let him stack 3 passive Quaking stacks on you passively — trade aggressively and briefly rather than standing still absorbing his passive damage, which scales hard into mid-game.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not overextend near walls when Skarner has E available, as a wall-stun into R suppression is a guaranteed kill setup even if you are ahead.
- Respect his all-in potential post-6 and keep the wave closer to your side of the lane so that a successful E-stun into R does not result in a tower dive finish.
