LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you do not win a direct trade if Trundle closes the gap — his Q reduces your resistances, his passive sustains through your damage, and you have no reliable disengage once his W pillar cuts off your path.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes significantly harder because his R drains your AP stat, gutting your damage output mid-fight, and you cannot out-sustain or out-damage him in a prolonged skirmish.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is sustained poke from max range using your long-range spell combinations before he can engage, chipping him down below the threshold where his passive sustain can keep up with your damage.
- If he does close the gap, immediately use your fastest-casting combo to burst and disengage rather than attempting to out-trade him at melee range, where you will lose.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to deny him the slow-push setup he wants, and use the resulting pressure to back safely or roam — sitting in a frozen wave against Trundle gives him the perfect all-in scenario.
- When ahead, shove and take tower priority rather than trying to kill him, since your win condition is scaling and map impact, not solo killing a champion designed to beat you in lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your spell combinations on the wave when Trundle is in range to punish your cooldowns — he will immediately engage the moment your key abilities are on cooldown.
- Avoid standing near walls or narrow chokepoints where his W pillar traps you, as your entire survivability in this matchup depends on maintaining the distance to kite and reposition freely.
