Who Wins
- You lose early trades levels 1-3 due to Gnar's range advantage and ability to kite with Q slows while you lack gap closers.
- At level 6, you gain a significant advantage as your R provides multiple dashes to close gaps and your W makes you untargetable to his ranged poke.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern involves using minions or bushes to get close, then engaging with E-Q combo when Gnar is in mini form and his Q is on cooldown.
- Always activate W before committing to extended trades to negate his damage and force him to either disengage or fight in your immunity zone.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower early to prevent Gnar from freely poking and zoning you from CS.
- Once you hit level 6, you can start building larger waves to crash and look for all-ins when Gnar's rage bar is low.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never chase Gnar through minion waves without your W active, as he can kite you indefinitely with Q bounces and auto attacks.
- Avoid fighting when his rage bar is high, as Mega Gnar's R-W combo can completely turn fights around even when you're ahead.
