Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Akshan's superior range and poke potential with Q, but can start winning extended trades around level 4-5 when you have multiple points in Q for stacking damage.
- Post-6 you win all-ins decisively as your R provides the engage tool you need while W makes you untargetable to his burst combo.
How to Trade
- Look for extended trades when Akshan uses Q on minions or misses it on you, then E forward and stack Q hits while he's in melee range.
- Use W reactively when he tries to disengage with E or when he commits to an all-in with R to negate his damage window.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to prevent Akshan from freely poking you while you farm, then look to freeze near your tower once you have sustain from passive.
- This forces him to overextend for CS where you can punish with E engages and extended trades.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W proactively or use it for minor poke trades, as it's your only tool to survive his burst windows and jungle ganks.
- Avoid chasing him through minion waves where his Q can hit you while clearing creeps, giving him both poke and wave control.
