Who Wins
- You win early trades pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q, but Xin Zhao wins all-ins if he gets on top of you.
- Post-6, you have better 1v1 potential with R displacement and full combo burst, but only if you land E to create distance first.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q poke from max range followed by immediate retreat, never allowing Xin Zhao to gap close with E.
- When he commits with E, you must immediately E away and turn for W-Q-R combo if he's low enough for a kill.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower to deny Xin Zhao easy all-ins while using Q to poke and thin waves.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you have vision, as Xin Zhao excels at running you down in extended lanes.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never face-check bushes or fight in melee range without your E available for escape.
- Getting caught without E against Xin Zhao's gap close means certain death, especially if he has ignite or jungle assistance.
