Who Wins
- You win most 1v1s pre-6 through superior base stats and Q movement speed to close gaps, though Swain can poke you down if you misposition.
- Post-6 you still win extended all-ins if you can reach him, but his R sustain and kiting potential make fights much closer.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trade is Q into auto-E combo when Swain uses abilities on minions or mispositions, then immediately retreat with W to minimize return damage.
- Extended trades favor you only if you can stick to him throughout the entire duration.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish priority, then look to freeze near your tower where Swain can't safely poke you and you have kill threat with jungle assistance.
- Avoid slow pushing into him as he'll poke you down while you're stuck farming under his tower range.
