Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior base stats and Q movement speed to force trades, but Master Yi can match your damage with E true damage if he commits fully.
- Post-6 you maintain advantage since your R executes low health targets while his R requires reset mechanics that are harder to achieve in isolated 1v1s.
How to Trade
- Look for Q-E-W trades when Master Yi uses Q aggressively on minions, as he'll be in melee range without escape tools.
- Your W damage reduction negates much of his alpha strike follow-up damage, allowing you to out-trade consistently.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to deny Master Yi farm and force him under tower where he struggles to last hit effectively.
- Maintain slow pushes to build minion advantages for extended trades, as your sustain through passive allows you to stay healthy while pressuring.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste Q movement speed chasing when Master Yi has Q available, as he can alpha strike to safety or onto minions to escape.
- Avoid trading when your W is on cooldown, as his E true damage becomes much more threatening without your damage reduction.
