Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 to Jayce's range and poke, but can win all-ins at level 2-3 if you land Q and he wastes his R transformation.
- Post-6 you have kill pressure with R execute, but must still respect his burst combo and kiting potential.
How to Trade
- Your trading pattern is Q to gap close, immediately E for damage, then W when he tries to burst you in return before backing off to let passive heal you.
- Only commit to extended trades when his R transformation is on cooldown or when you can secure a kill.
Wave Control
- Let Jayce push early and farm safely with Q on minions, then look for all-ins when the wave bounces back toward your tower.
- Use bushes to break his poke and force him to facecheck if he wants to harass you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase Jayce through his acceleration gate or when his R transformation is available - he will kite you to death.
- Never use Q on minions when he's in range to punish you, as it's your only gap closer and escape tool.
