LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Gragas's W gives him consistent sustain that outpaces your passive regen, and his E into Q combo deals more damage than you can absorb before your Q silence lands.
- Post-6, you still lose all-ins unless Gragas has burned his E defensively, because his R knocks you away and resets the fight on his terms before your R can finish him.
How to Trade
- Your best trade is a short Q-auto-disengage pattern when Gragas has recently used his E, since that is his primary gap-closer and damage tool — without it, he cannot follow your Q dash or punish your approach.
- Never commit to a full W-stacked trade unless you have a clear HP advantage and his E is on cooldown, otherwise his burst will outdamage your sustained damage window.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to deny Gragas his passive sustain from W, which he uses most effectively in extended skirmishes near the wave — forcing him to choose between farming under tower or fighting you without full resources.
- Avoid letting the wave freeze near his tower, as his E gives him safe last-hitting range and he can sustain through poke while you lose passive regen value standing still.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk up to trade when Gragas has his E available and full W stacks, as he can body-slam into you, proc his passive, and burst you before your Q silence has meaningful impact on the outcome.
- Many Garen players also mistakenly use R on a Gragas who still has his R available, only to have the knockback interrupt your channel or reposition him out of lethal range.
