Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Gnar's range advantage and kiting potential, but you can win all-ins if you successfully gap close with Q and land full combos.
- Post-6, you win most 1v1s if Gnar is in mini form, but must respect Mega Gnar's W stun and R knockback which can turn fights around.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is Q sprint into E spin, then W to mitigate return damage and walk away - avoid extended trades where Gnar can kite you.
- Only commit to longer fights when Gnar's E is down or when he's about to transform to Mega form and loses mobility.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to deny Gnar farm and force him to use abilities on minions rather than harass.
- Look for slow pushes into crashes when Gnar's rage is low, as this gives you the best windows to engage without facing Mega form.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase Gnar when his E is available as he'll simply hop away and continue poking you down.
- Avoid fighting in Mega Gnar form unless you have a significant health advantage, as his W stun and R can easily turn favorable trades against you.
