Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 to constant poke and have limited kill pressure unless Hwei severely mispositions for your E-W combo.
- Post-6 you gain significant kill threat with R ganks and can start looking for all-ins, but still struggle in pure 1v1 scenarios due to his range advantage.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern requires landing E to gap close, immediately following with W taunt, then Q and passive auto before he can escape.
- This is your only window to deal meaningful damage, so you must make these combos count or you'll fall behind in the poke war.
Wave Control
- Focus on shoving waves with Q to match his push and prevent him from establishing a freeze, then look for R roams to other lanes for kills.
- Accept that you'll be pushed in most of the time and prioritize farm safety over trying to contest every CS.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste E trying to engage when Hwei has escape abilities available, as you'll be left with no gap closer and vulnerable to free poke.
- Avoid taking extended poke in lane without purpose - if you can't land a combo, stay back and wait for jungle assistance rather than slowly bleeding health.
