Who Wins
- Pre-6: You lose trades due to Mel's superior range and Q poke, but can threaten all-ins at level 3 with Q-W-E combo if she mispositions.
- Post-6: You win all-ins decisively with R engage potential, but must respect her W timing to avoid having your combo reflected back.
How to Trade
- Look for Q gap-close when her W is on cooldown, then immediately W-auto-E out to avoid extended trades where her range advantage matters.
- Never engage when she has W available as she can reflect your entire combo and turn the trade heavily in her favor.
Wave Control
- Push early levels with W-enhanced autos to prevent her from freely poking, then look to roam once you hit 6 since she outscales your laning phase.
- Accept some CS loss in exchange for avoiding her Q poke, as you only need one successful all-in to snowball.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't engage with Q when her W is available, as she can reflect your damage and potentially root you with E during your animation lock.
- Avoid trading in minion waves where her Q can hit both you and minions for maximum value while you can't effectively retaliate.
