- You lose pre-6 trades due to Gragas's superior range, sustain from W, and ability to chunk you with Q-E combos while you struggle to gap close effectively.
- Post-6 you win all-ins if you can dodge his R knockback with your E, as your burst damage significantly outscales his.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait his Q, then E over it to gap close, auto-W-Q for electrocute proc, and E out before he can retaliate with body slam.
- Never commit to extended trades without your E available for escape.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to hit 6 first, then look for roam timings when Gragas is stuck clearing waves under tower.
- You want to avoid long farming phases where his sustain and safe waveclear give him too much value.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use E aggressively without vision of enemy jungler, as Gragas's E-R combo sets up ganks perfectly and you have no escape tools left.
