Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 due to Jayce's range advantage and superior early game damage, but you need to survive and farm safely.
- At level 6, you gain significant kill pressure with R and can start looking for all-ins if Jayce makes positioning mistakes.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is using Q to gap close when Jayce wastes abilities, then immediately W to parry his hammer form E-Q combo or disengage.
- Look for short trades with Q-auto-E and disengage quickly rather than extended fights until you have R.
Wave Control
- Focus on freezing the wave near your tower in early levels to force Jayce to overextend for poke, making him vulnerable to ganks.
- After level 6, you can start slow pushing to build up minions for diving potential or to create longer lanes for chasing with R.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to trade aggressively in early levels without minion advantage, as Jayce's burst damage will chunk you heavily.
- Never waste your W parry on minions or minor poke - save it specifically for Jayce's hammer form E or his empowered cannon Q for maximum value.
