Who Wins
- You lose early levels 1-3 due to Gnar's range advantage and ability to kite with Q slows while you lack gap closers.
- At level 6, you gain a significant advantage as your R provides massive outplay potential and healing that Gnar cannot match in extended fights.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern involves using Q to dodge his Q boomerang while closing distance, then immediately W to block his W proc or E damage before committing to extended trades.
- Always look to proc vitals during short trades and disengage before he can kite you out with his range advantage.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower to force Gnar to overextend for CS, making him vulnerable to all-ins.
- Avoid hard shoving as this gives him free poke opportunities and allows him to build Mega Gnar rage safely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never chase Gnar in Mini form through minion waves as he will kite you endlessly with Q and auto attacks while building rage.
- Avoid fighting him when he's near full rage bar as Mega Gnar's R can easily set up ganks or turn fights against you.
