LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively if you position in the river bush beforehand and open with E fear into W drain — Master Yi cannot Q through your fear and his only option is to flee, which your W slow makes difficult.
- From level 6, you beat him 1v1 by channeling your R from a bush before he sees you, then immediately applying E and W; if he has already seen you and is approaching with Q ready, the fight becomes much harder and you should disengage.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Master Yi will almost always full clear as fast as possible, prioritizing a 6-camp clear to hit level 6 quickly, and he will look to contest scuttle at level 3 if he spawns on the same side.
- He tends to path predictably — red into raptors into blue or vice versa — and rarely deviates to invade early unless he has a significant level or health advantage.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Master Yi at any point in the early game — his Q makes him nearly impossible to punish in his own jungle, and your W channel is interrupted by his damage bursts, removing your sustain advantage.
- Instead, focus on farming safely to 6 and use your R to gank lanes where you can approach unseen from a bush, denying him the ability to respond with his own R.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Master Yi in the open without your E landing first — if he can freely auto-attack you without fear, his Q resets and W healing will outduel your drain even with your W active.
- Avoid using your R in locations where Master Yi can see the channel startup, as he will simply Q away or wait out the animation and punish you before your team arrives.
