Who Wins

  • You lose pre-6 as your Q poke gets blocked by Poppy's passive shield and Nautilus can hook you during Q animation.
  • Post-6 improves slightly with R waveclear and E repositioning, but you still lose all-ins due to their superior lockdown.

Synergy & Trading

  • Land Q on enemies then let Varus follow up with W auto attacks to proc blight stacks for maximum damage.
  • Use E defensively to create distance after Varus lands R, allowing both of you to kite backwards safely.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Focus on shoving waves with Q and R to prevent enemy roams and maintain farm safety under tower.
  • Avoid freezing as it gives Poppy opportunities to zone you from CS with her threat range.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't E forward aggressively even when ahead, as Poppy's W can cancel your E mid-dash leaving you in melee range.
  • Always save E as escape tool since one hook or wall stun means death with their damage follow-up.
