Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Kha'Zix if he lands his E jump and isolates you — his burst and healing from W passive are stronger than your damage output at that stage, so avoid contesting unless you have a clear HP advantage.
  • From level 6, you can win 1v1 if you bait out his E, absorb his burst with your W shield, then re-engage after your R resets the fight state and he has no cooldowns left to respond.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Kha'Zix typically starts Red Buff side, clears Raptors or Krugs, then looks to invade or contest scuttle early — he favors aggressive early pathing because his level 3 and 6 power spikes are among the strongest in the game.
  • Expect him to be at scuttle around 3:15–3:30 and to look for you specifically if you're low or isolated.

Invade or Not

  • You should not invade Kha'Zix pre-6 unless you have a significant HP lead and he is clearly on the opposite side of the map — he wins most 1v1 duels at early levels when he can isolate you.
  • If you do invade, do it post-6 at his Red Buff when you know his position, as you can use your R to survive his burst and turn the fight.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk into brushes or isolated positions without vision, as Kha'Zix's entire kit is designed to punish isolated targets — his Q deals massively increased damage to isolated enemies and his E gives him a free gap-close.
  • Avoid using your E aggressively as your primary engage tool, as missing it leaves you with no escape and he will immediately punish the cooldown.
