Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win the 2v2 — your Q damage output is substantially higher than Ashe's, and Pyke's hook threat keeps Amumu from walking up freely, giving you safe spacing to catch axes and deal damage.
  • Post-6, the matchup becomes dangerous because Ashe's R into Amumu's R is a full kill combo that you cannot reliably dodge, so you must maintain enough HP to survive the burst or force a fight before they have both ultimates.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to bait Amumu's Q by standing just outside its range, then step in to auto-attack Ashe when Q is on cooldown — Amumu without Q is a non-threat in melee, and Ashe is vulnerable to your sustained damage when she can't hide behind Amumu's engage threat.
  • Pyke should hook Ashe when she overextends to W-harass you, creating a kill window before Amumu can react.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Freeze the wave near your tower when possible — this denies Ashe her preferred poke range and forces Amumu to walk up into Pyke hook angles to contest.
  • A frozen wave also means Amumu cannot safely roam without abandoning Ashe to a 2v1 situation.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not drop your Q axes by repositioning carelessly — losing axe stacks against Ashe's sustained poke means your damage advantage evaporates, and you need that DPS lead to justify aggressive positioning.
  • Chasing Ashe into Amumu's Q range to retrieve axes is the single most common way this lane goes wrong for Draven.
