Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win this 2v2 clearly because your level 1 Q damage is the highest in the bot lane and Nautilus's hook at level 2 creates an immediate kill threat on Nilah who has limited escape before she has E; post-6, the matchup becomes much harder because Zilean's R negates your burst window and Nilah's R can turn a fight you thought you won into a loss.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to have Nautilus hook Nilah when she steps up to last-hit, then immediately unload Q autos while she's rooted; do not trade into Nilah when she has E available and Zilean's W is off cooldown, as the slow will prevent you from repositioning for your axes and she will out-sustain short trades with her passive.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave hard early to deny Nilah passive sustain opportunities and force her to take poke while farming under pressure; once you have a lead, do not let the wave freeze under your tower — reset the wave and maintain lane priority so Zilean cannot roam freely without Nilah being exposed.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not drop your Q axes to dodge Nautilus's own misplays or to chase Nilah into Zilean's double-Q stun range — losing your axes mid-fight dramatically reduces your damage and gives Nilah time to recover with passive sustain; the most common Draven mistake in this matchup is overcommitting on a chase after a failed hook and getting stunned with no axes active.
