LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly, especially at level 2 when your E-W combo deals significant true damage before he has meaningful Ghoul stacks or sustain established.
- Post-6 the matchup becomes genuinely dangerous — his R cage traps you and removes your E escape tool if he places it correctly against terrain, so you must respect his kill threat rather than blindly all-inning.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trade pattern is to E onto him when his Q is on cooldown, immediately proc W for the true damage shield, auto-attack twice, then disengage before his Ghouls can stack damage on you.
- Short burst trades heavily favor you; never let him dictate a prolonged fight where Ghoul attrition and Q sustain accumulate.
Wave Control
- Shove the wave early and look to roam or dive, because sitting in a static lane against Yorick post-6 is increasingly risky and he outscales you in a pure side-lane 1v1 context.
- If he freezes, use your mobility to contest the freeze with poke rather than committing to a full trade without vision of his R cooldown.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your E to engage if his R is available and there is terrain nearby — you will be caged with no escape and his Maiden plus Ghouls will kill you before the cage expires.
- Do not underestimate his passive sustain from Q; repeatedly poking him without finishing the kill allows him to heal back and eventually reach a Ghoul count where trading becomes unfavorable for you.
