Who Wins

  • You lose early trades pre-6 due to Sion's superior sustain from W passive and his ability to poke with E while farming safely.
  • Post-6 you gain kill pressure with R lockdown, but Sion can still match your damage and has better sustain to recover from trades.

How to Trade

  • Use E to engage when Sion uses Q or is animation-locked, then proc Q1 immediately followed by W and Q2 for the true damage burst before disengaging.
  • Avoid extended trades where his W passive and base damages will out-sustain your burst windows.

Wave Control

  • Push early levels to build minion advantage before Sion's waveclear becomes oppressive, then look to freeze near your tower to deny him safe farming.
  • Once he gets Bami's components, focus on roaming with R rather than trying to match his waveclear.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't E engage when Sion has Q charged or when you're in a large minion wave that will block your escape path.
  • Avoid trading when your Q is on cooldown as you lose most of your damage and have no way to proc Grasp or Conqueror effectively.
