Who Wins
- You lose most direct 1v1s pre-6 due to Jayce's superior burst and all-in potential, especially after his level 2-3 power spike.
- Post-6 the matchup remains Jayce-favored as his R provides more combat utility than your R in dueling scenarios.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with Q and auto-attacks while maintaining maximum range, then immediately create distance with E-W combo if he tries to engage.
- Never allow extended trades in his hammer form range.
Wave Control
- Focus on farming safely and maintaining distance, using your superior range to last-hit minions while staying out of his Q-E combo range.
- Let the wave push toward you naturally to farm safely near your tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't greedily step forward for CS when your E is on cooldown, as you have no escape from his hammer form all-in.
- Avoid face-checking brushes or areas where Jayce can surprise you with a ranged Q-E into immediate hammer form engage.
