LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. π

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Jarvan IV because your W gives you massive sustain and damage output that he cannot match in a sustained trade; his burst combo is strong but once his E+Q knockup is burned, you out-damage and out-heal him significantly.
- From level 6, you win the 1v1 decisively if you engage with your R to isolate him and prevent escape, then use W to sustain through his burst while your passive healing keeps you alive long enough to finish him.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Jarvan IV typically runs a full clear starting Red Buff side (Red β Raptors β Wolves β Blue β Gromp) or Blue side (Blue β Gromp β Wolves β Raptors β Red), then contests scuttle at level 3; he may also look for an early gank on a pushed lane before taking scuttle.
- Expect him to prioritize ganking lanes with CC or immobile champions early since his E+Q combo is one of the strongest early gank tools in the game.
Invade or Not
- You can invade Jarvan IV at his second or third camp (around 2:30β3:00) if you know his starting side, because at that point he has used some abilities on camps and your W sustain lets you fight in a resource-disadvantaged state better than he can.
- The optimal location is his second buff β if he starts Blue, invade his Red side around 2:45; if he starts Red, contest his Blue side at the same timing to deny him and potentially kill him before he reaches full clear.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Jarvan IV land his E+Q knockup freely at the start of a fight and then try to all-in him immediately β his burst front-loaded into that combo is highest right after the knockup, and engaging into it without your W active means you absorb maximum damage before your healing kicks in.
- Always activate W before or immediately as the fight starts so your healing is running during his peak damage window, not after.
